Our friend Bill from Y-Que Trading Post, purveyor of LA’s finest satirical and pleasingly moronic T-shirts (including ART OF BLEEDING T-SHIRTS) just dug up this picture he shot at our 2006 “Halloween Highway” show. He’s talking about putting on a T-shirt and making it available at our upcoming 2011 Halloween Highway 2 show. Just the gift for mom and dad this Christmas!
Last weekend ,The Art of Bleeding performed at block party alongside giant singing Tesla coils, steam engines, and other mobile art installations outside the gallery 111 Minna. The event was a book release party for Bay Area impresario Chicken John’s new publication The Book of the IS.
If you’re in San Francisco, September 30, you’ll have the chance to witness The Art of Bleeding stage something akin to our 2006 Halloween Car Crash show shown here. The event will celebrate the publication of The Book of the Is by punk-rock impresario, prankster, mayoral candidate, and man-about-town Chicken John. AoB will perform alongside the daredevils of of Cyclecide’s Bike Rodeo and other acts TBA at at 111 Minna Gallery, (or rather on the street outside the gallery!)
This one is from a while ago, our Las Vegas “after show.” Just a single picture today, but this one speaks volumes and somehow never got uploaded. See what happens when you don’t pay off the blackmailers, Abram??
On May 8, Abram the Safety Ape and “friend” showed up at the Broadway Fiesta in downtown Los Angeles to convince festival-goers that his new Ape Bran cereal is a proven means of promoting regularity (hence the sidekick) AND “fighting cancer with great taste.” Footage shot there will be part of an advertising campaign launching this summer. Photos from Art of Bleeding’s “Ghost Clinic” installation at Linda Vista Hospital are now online. This interactive scene was created as part of the Boyle Heights Paranormal Project’s “Walking with the Dead Tour” tour of the Linda Vista Hospital on March 4, 2011. The hospital is widely regarded to be haunted.
